How commercial relationships affect—and do not affect—the 9Lines comparison experience.
Potential compensation
9Lines may receive compensation when a user follows a clearly identified paid link and completes a qualifying action with a third-party venue. Compensation may use a fixed referral fee, qualified-acquisition payment, revenue share, or another arrangement disclosed by the venue.
Clear link-level notice
A compensated destination will be labeled with plain language such as “Paid link—9Lines may earn compensation.” “Affiliate link” alone may not adequately explain the relationship. Official links without compensation are labeled separately.
Comparison independence
Commercial relationships do not alter quoted prices, best-price calculations, market-match confidence, freshness warnings, venue health, or rankings. A venue cannot purchase a better comparison result.
Approval and availability
9Lines activates tracking only after written partner approval and only in explicitly approved regions. A personal refer-a-friend link is not treated as commercial affiliate permission. Venue eligibility and promotion terms still apply.
FTC guidance
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission advises that material connections be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, close to the relevant recommendation or link. See the FTC’s Endorsement Guides guidance.
